FreeFingers Gloves

November 23rd, 2010

FreeFingers by Nina Wexler are unique fingerless gloves for men and women. Made by hand, no two pairs are identical. Your hands will stay warm (and fully functional) wrapped in luxurious yarn and the finest pure cashmere.

Although we love having our hands free to grab our keys, open doors and text on our cell phones, the best part of these gloves is that 100% of the profits go directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

FreeFingers is not only a celebration of individuality but a celebration for every cancer survivor. Now that is something we can cheer (and clap) about.

FreeFingers by Nina Wexler are available at Hirshleifers ETC.

First Annual World Pink Luncheon

On May 3, Evelyn Lauder and the Estée Lauder boutique at Americana Manhasset hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness luncheon, attended by over 165 guests. The event raised more than $27,000 to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The private lunch honored the memory of Roddy Eliash and Haya Kadosh-Gabbay – two special women in the community who passed away due to cancer.

The menu for the luncheon was inspired by Mrs. Lauder’s cookbook “In Great Taste: Fresh, Simple Recipes for Eating and Living Well”, which was also sold at the event. During the afternoon, attendees were invited to bid on high-end auction items, partake in complimentary beauty services provided by Estée Lauder’s top Beauty Advisors and shop Estée Lauder’s latest products, with 20% of all net sales donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The event proved to be not only a successful fundraiser, but also a wonderful opportunity to educate people about an important issue that affects many Long Island families. Americana Manhasset applauds Estée Lauder for its efforts in the fight against breast cancer!
