Dior and Elle magazine invite you to celebrate a “New Look” featuring A - Zee styling by Elle Creative Director Joe Zee.
We love this curious and beautiful message found on a mirror in Dior’s Paris flagship store.
Relaxing the house codes at Dior, Bill Gaytten took the very best of the brand’s DNA—a peplumed jacket and a swirly-skirted skirt—and modernized it without any bold gestures or vintage harkings. With a loose ballerina theme weaving its way through the collection, Gaytten delivered one look after another that reinforced the notion of tailoring but infused with a new spirit. That translated into sharp waist dresses with feminine full skirts flaring into knife-pleats, a noticeable absence of prints and, topping it all off, block-toe platform shoes. This was safe and timeless at its best.
