The Little Black Jacket
Chanel unveils a new exhibition in Aoyama, Tokyo dedicated to “The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld,” a celebration of the iconic little black jacket. The exhibition, set over two floors, includes 113 prints depicting celebrities and other personalities in the Chanel jacket, taken by Karl Lagerfeld and selected from the forthcoming book The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld. The exhibition runs until April 15.

Chanel Spring/ Summer 2012
Describing Chanel Spring/ Summer 2012 ad campaign back in October Karl Lagerfeld said it would be “all about athletics and the sea… It’s very modern sportif and in black-and-white.”
Now we can see what he meant. Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2012 campaign was captured entirely in black-and-white and shot by Karl Lagerfeld. Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls are captured performing all kinds of gymnastic manoeuvres showing off how the clothing moves. The images offer a spectacular sight over the water at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France - the same location where the Resort 2012 runway show took place.

Fashion figure Karl Lagerfeld photographed Florence Welch for the cover her band Florence + the Machine limited vinyl single ‘Shake it Out,’ set to release on October 31. This is the first cover from the designer and musician’s upcoming series with The Vinyl Factory.

At the Grand Palais for the Chanel show this morning, Karl Lagerfeld presented a white sea bed backdrop peppered with enormous shells, sea horses, sponges, seaweed and fish.
