For Fall 2011, the Gucci man will be well armed. Frida Giannini introduced two new takes on the classic briefcase: blackened bamboo handles & a silhouette so soft it folds in half.

A warning for all of our male readers: Sneakers are not a dress shoe!
Of course sneakers are appropriate for things like going to the gym, running errands or even a casual night at the local bar. But they are not, we repeat, are not, acceptable footwear when on dates, meeting parents or any other special occasion.
You may be wondering, “But where can I find these non-sneaker shoes you speak of?” Fret no more, boys. Visit Exit -36, at Americana. They carry all the latest trends in boots from designers including Merrel, Abbington, Timberland, Clae and Lacoste! Boots are a great alternative to sneakers and do not sacrifice comfort or style.

If the runways taught us anything this season it is that what is old is new again. Brands like Rag & Bone, Band of Outsiders, Gittman Vintage, and Levi’s, are all well aware of this trend, especially when it comes to menswear. Happily, these lines and more can all be found this spring at Hirshleifers ETC.
Rag & Bone’s spring 2010 collection hails back to its roots, revisiting the brand’s focus on the functionality of American work wear guided by a strong British tailoring influence. Band of Outsiders made updates to some old-school favorites with subtle tweaks to button-down shirts, blazers, ties and even the polo. And then there is Gittman Vintage who also pays tribute to its past by selecting some of their favorite fabrics from the past and having them remade. The spring/summer 2010 line is full of retro details like original double-track stitching, chalk buttons, box pleats and the original Gittman Bros. label. And finally we have Levi’s Vintage - the blue jean that started it all. These recreated original iconic jeans are made using the same techniques from days past.
